Singing - whether it’s alone with my guitar, in harmony with my friends, or at a concert full of people singing their hearts out

When my kitty is in his sleepy state and climbs on top of me and falls asleep purring

Speeding down the highway at night, screaming along to angry gay ballads

Putting on my headphones, closing my eyes, and just fully feeling the emotions of the songs closest to my heart

Bright lights and good music

When I lay in my bed after a long day, and listen to blues or sufi music with closed eyes

When the mixed media animations I create look exactly as I imagined in my head (or even better)

The overwhelming feeling of gratefulness I feel when I’m with my loved ones

When I see a movie in the theatres and I’m fully immersed in the story, feeling like I’ve been transported to another world

When I get into a really good book and can’t put it down, feeling fully a part of another world

Being in the blissful silence of nature early in the morning - just breathing and taking it all in

When I’m travelling and the scene looks just like it does in the pictures

Looking out the window of an airplane, no matter how many times I do fly

When I capture the perfect shot, everything in the frame just clicks - the composition, lighting, and subject all align in a beautiful harmony, and I feel a rush of creativity and achievement

When I can understand someone without language, especially in music

When I’m at a social event and can feel the community care and connection amongst the attendees

When I’m in the presence of my closest friends and we share a tea and peaceful quiet with each other
