When we are in a flow state, fully immersed in a moment of pure expression, it can feel as though we are simply a vessel for the art that pours out of us. Our most inspired creations can come when we least expect them to, and being open to receiving that inspiration can be enough to open the floodgates.

It’s not always smooth sailing to get there, though. Sometimes there’s turbulence in our stream of creativity, whether it be in the form of self doubt, burn out or lack of motivation. Like most things, inspiration comes in waves. Our experiences, emotions, and art are intimately connected, so we can only expect them to reflect each other as we flow through life.
